In a perfect world, dietary supplements would not exist. With the rise of an increasingly processed diet and soil depletion, it is unfortunately difficult to consume everything our bodies need each day.

That is how dietary supplements came about. Initially created to make up for deficiencies, they have expanded to support overall well-being. At Epycure, our priority from the very beginning has been to help our customers take care of themselves throughout every stage of life: low energy, difficult digestion or sleep problems…

And because our needs change over time, our range evolves with you to offer deliberately broad and varied products, in order to meet as many needs as possible.

Still skeptical? We’re addressing the misconceptions.

All the formulas are the same!

TRUE AND FALSE!

Of course, with some brands, products come from ready-to-use formulas created by laboratories. This is known as “off-the-shelf” purchasing. That does not necessarily mean they are less effective; it simply means that their composition is generic and, consequently, almost identical across brands.

At Epycure, behind every capsule is Hélène, our Head of R&D, who selects each active ingredient individually, choosing ingredients that are both recognized by the French pharmacopoeia and plants from traditional medicine, as well as innovative new active ingredients whose effectiveness has been demonstrated in scientific studies. We chose to create our own formulas to offer you unique and effective products that will best help you meet your needs.

Speaking of effectiveness, there is no miracle solution to a problem. Dietary supplements are there to support you and boost your efforts over the long term. For each course, the dosage is optimized and the active ingredients carefully selected to deliver visible results within just a few months or, in some cases, within a few days for short-term courses. We always aim for the right balance between effectiveness and naturalness, without ever compromising on performance!

We verify this effectiveness through our community of testers, Le Lab'Epycure , made up of people like you and me. We have them test our formulas to collect their feedback and, if necessary, improve them!

Dietary supplements are expensive

TRUE AND FALSE!

The cost of dietary supplements varies considerably depending on many factors: production, laboratories, composition, dosage forms…

Indeed, we are committed to ensuring that this cost is justified by our desire to offer you products without compromising on their quality. Behind every product are approved and certified French laboratories, each specializing in a particular dosage form so we can benefit from their unique expertise; the cost of raw materials, including innovative and sometimes patented active ingredients; and our team members, without whom the brand would not exist. Taken together, these costs represent a significant expense. As a young brand, our manufacturing costs are inevitably higher, since we produce smaller quantities than large laboratories.

But one thing we are not prepared to reconsider is offering you an unbeatable value for money, so that most of our courses cost an average of less than €1 per day.

Dietary supplements are dangerous to your health!

FALSE!

In France, the regulations governing the dietary supplement sector are very strict to ensure consumer safety.

This safety is ensured through an in-depth assessment of every ingredient based on scientific and toxicological documentation. Once authorized, the ingredient is added to a positive list of active ingredients that may be used in dietary supplements. This list is updated regularly to add new ingredients or, conversely, remove them if new studies reveal any risk.

These regulations apply not only to their composition but also to their packaging. To be placed on the market, a dietary supplement must display mandatory information such as its directions for use, the complete list of ingredients, the recommended daily amount, allergens and contraindications. All these requirements help ensure the product’s reliability while informing consumers without misleading them. Just as some statements are mandatory, others are prohibited, particularly those that could promote a product as preventing, curing or treating diseases, which would place it on the same level as a medicine.

The use of dietary supplements most often involves self-medication, so it is important to inform consumers that taking them is not without risk and that following the dosage is essential.

They are “supplements” intended to complement a balanced diet and lifestyle. They should be consumed as support to help us fully be ourselves every day.
